Baby Leah!

Leah Davidson finally arrived on April 14th, 2012 at 1:58 a.m. She was 8 lbs and 20 inches. She really scared us for about the first hour of her life but she is doing great now and is seriously the best baby ever. We love her way too much!

I love hearing other people's birth stories but I am going to be a little selfish with mine and not share every detail. But I will share this little video Parker made for me. He was out of town on mother's day so he made this video for me to watch while he was gone. I love it so much... It makes it even more special because Parker made it and chose all the pictures and music. So sweet. It brings back so many memories of our whole journey of becoming parents.

Baby Davidson Nursery

Here are some pictures of baby girl's nursery! (yes, she is still nameless). It has been fun putting it all together with lots of help from parker and my family.
The floating shelf parker very securely anchored for baby's safety. Hanging are some original mcdonald children clothing, the yellow and bluish one hand made by mom.
The changing table.
The crib bedding I made and it was really easy! The giant flower was a joint effort from my sister melissa, my mom, and me although I would have to say it was mainly melissa's masterpeice. I love that flower! Also the white knitted blanket is from my mom made on special request!
more pics of the crib and room
Our hospital to-go bag. Complete with snacks (for parker), massager (for me), mints, clothes, books(which I am going to take out since after some thought I have concluded I probably won't be doing much reading in the hospital), extra camera battery, charger, etc. It's probably, acutally most definitely a little overkill but we are just trying to be prepared:)

And carseat! we opted for the pink! couldn't resist! as if you can't already tell, we can't wait!
And here is the obligatory pregnancy picture at 32 weeks (last week)! Yes, I am wearing parker's shirt since all of my clothes are now too small/tight/uncomfortable. I feel huge and can't imagine how this belly is going to get any bigger!

Day 4: Interlaken, Switzerland

On our way to Switzerland!

We stopped in Bern, Switzerland to visit the temple. The church and mormon shop were right next door:)

We were so glad we rented a car so we could go wherever we wanted and stop along the way and enjoy some of the countryside.

Wow. Interlaken is such a beautiful little town. We pulled into town in the late afternoon and the lighting was so pretty. There is a huge field in the center of town where paragliders land. The tallest hotel in town has a restaurant at the top of it where our friend "rick" (aka rick steves guide book), told us to get a view of the city from. We didn't eat there but no one seemed to mind us snapping a few pics and enjoying the view...
The pictures don't do it justice.

Eating our homemade sandwiches with supplies from the Co-Op. One thing about Switzerland...it's expensive, so we tried to cut costs when at all possible. Plus that left more cash for the Swiss chocolate:)

I loved these little square gardens at the back of a church.

We actually spent the night up the road from Interlaken in a little town called Lauterbrunnen at the base of the Schilthorn.
We stayed in this quirky hostel that I would definitely recomend if you are in Switzerland and into the hostel thing. Valley Hostel in Lauterbrunnen
